I saw this beautiful room at the Metropolitan Museum yesterday. This exhibit showcases a fully decorated bedroom from floor to ceiling from Sagredo Palace in Venice. It is embellished with many intricate decorations. The Met is always a wonderful place to visit, you'll never get tired of seeing these amazing exhibits full of design inspirations from history.

This Orlando residence needed a redesign. We put recessed built-ins to enhance the aged brick facade of the fireplace. We complimented them with two fireside chairs from Bernhardt interiors in a wide whale corduroy in Willow Green. We upgraded the fireplace to a gas/wood combination. Today starts Phase II of one of our residential client's home renovations. The bathroom pictured above is what started this family on the reno-journey, but it's only part of a house-wide update that will bring this 1960s ranch into 2012 and beyond. In a recent project for a corporate office, we used wallpaper from Design Tex. We found a very innovative wall paper pattern that is also eco-friendly. The wired pattern adds dimension and color to the interior . My latest fantastic find comes from VOOS, a quaint furniture store located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Interior Designers like to arrange furniture conversationally and this 2-n-1 Rocking Chair does just that. Another great find at NYIGF was this white floral partition. This beautifully designed partition is great for the office whether at home or work and even better for coffee shops, computer labs, and even schools to provide a little discretion, privacy, and personal space in public places. Designing for a boy's room? You do not need to be afraid of color. This room designed by Susan Arann displays a great use of vibrant colors. It is also enhanced with a punch of plaid wall paper. As you can see the room has three primary colors and everything from the striped drapery to the small accessories bounces off of those colors creating an interesting and fun room.

Susan Arann created a design for one of her client's 3 yr old girl. The color scheme was pink and green. It is not your typical, generic design that will outgrow the child, but rather a design that a teen will still love. Designing smart.
